Take advantage of the great value, with blueberries priced at just $2-$5 a punnet. Their vibrant purplish-blue colour, sweet flavour, and high antioxidant content make them a healthy choice. Kickstart your day with blueberries and yoghurt, blueberries on your muesli or our delicious and easy-to-make overnight blueberry chia pods!

Strawberries are a popular choice, perfect for smoothies, desserts like chocolate-covered strawberries, salads and ideal for a healthy snack. But have you tried strawberries with ricotta and French toast? It's so yummy. Don't miss the opportunity to relish several punnets while strawberries are extra good value at $2-$4 a punnet.

Plump Queensland-grown salad tomatoes are available for $3-$5 per kilo, depending on their size. Glass-grown Truss tomatoes ripen longer on the vine for a richer flavour and are priced at $5-$7 per kilo. Store tomatoes at room temperature for best results and use them once they are bright red and slightly softened.

Did you know that swapping 20g of butter for two tablespoons of avocado cuts the kilojoules and fat content in half? It's a healthy and tasty alternative, perfect for spreading on sandwiches or toast. Hass avocados are currently $2-$4 each, depending on size.

Afourer and Murcott mandarins offer good value and a sweet dose of vitamin C; expect to pay $3-$6 a kilo. Alternatively, enjoy a seedless, ultra-flavoursome and juicy Sumo or Dekapon mandarin. Expect to pay $4-$7 a kilo; enjoy now before the season finishes.

VEGETABLES

Vegetables

Wombok, also known as Chinese cabbage, has a pale, buttery-green colour and is a staple in many Asian dishes. Its tender, crisp leaves are perfect for shredding into salads or adding to stir-fries for a light, refreshing crunch. This week, Wombok is priced at $3-$5 per head, offering great value.

Fresh Australian asparagus is in season, offering excellent quality at an affordable price of $2-$3.50 per bunch. This versatile veggie can be boiled, char-grilled, or steamed and enjoyed hot or cold. For a light and tasty meal, try whipping up a potato, asparagus, and tuna salad - it's a perfect way to highlight the freshness of this delicious produce.

With its crisp texture and delicate aniseed flavour, fresh fennel is a Mediterranean delight that pairs beautifully with citrus, tomatoes, potatoes, seafood, lamb, and chicken. Whether enjoyed raw for a refreshing crunch or cooked for a deeper flavour, fennel adds a gourmet touch to any dish. At just $2-$3 per bulb, it's good value.

Iceberg lettuce, known for its crisp and crunchy texture, is popular for salads and sandwiches. As the weather warms up, it's a great time to enjoy a fresh lettuce salad with your favourite homemade dressings. Prices range from $2 -$3 per head.

Incorporating broccoli into your diet can enhance overall health! Broccoli aids cell protection, helps reduce inflammation linked to various health issues, and helps support your immunity. Enjoy broccoli light cooked or steamed, which is ideal, or eat raw, which preserves more antioxidants than overcooking. Broccoli is $3-$5 a kilo this week.

Firm, glossy-skinned zucchinis have a mild flavour and need minimal cooking. They're perfect for adding to risotto, mixing with corn for fritters, or pan-frying slices to toss in a pasta dish or as a pasta alternative. Zucchinis are plentiful and priced at just $3-$6 per kilo.

English spinach is versatile and mild-tasting, eaten cooked or raw. This week, it is a bargain at $1-$3 a bunch. Blend English spinach with cashews, tahini, lemon juice, and garlic to create a delicious, healthy dip.

Red capsicums are $4-$8 per kilo, and green capsicum is $4-$7 a kilo. These vibrant capsicums offer endless possibilities: roast them for a rich, smoky flavour, stir-fry for a crisp, barbecue or grill for a delicious char, or enjoy them raw for a refreshing crunch.

Snap up globe artichokes in early spring. Once cooked, their tender, delicious hearts are superb, simply drizzled with extra virgin olive oil and served with prosciutto, tomato and bocconcini cheese. Supplies from Victoria and growers in the Sydney basin are now available for $3-$4 ahead.

With its mild, peppery flavoured leaves, watercress is delicious served in a salad with thinly sliced pear, toasted pinenuts and shredded pecorino cheese, or try our watercress, asparagus & chicken salad. This green salad is excellent value at $2.50-$3 a bunch.

FlowersThis week’s floral selection is truly exceptional. Choose from elegant new-season waratahs, ranunculus, fragrant freesia, and delicate sweet peas. Add a touch of classic charm with stock, pierus, or daffodils.
