Taro

Provides dietary fibre which helps the normal function of the intestine.

A source of vitamin C which contributes to the body’s immune function and also vitamin E which helps prevent damage to cells from free radicals.

Provides potassium which may help balance sodium from salt.

Taro leaves are a good source of vitamin C and beta carotene (converted to vitamin A in the body) as well as providing the B vitamins including thiamin (B1), riboflavin (B2) and folate. The leaves also provide potassium, calcium and iron.
